Terms of service

The deal, in plain English.

Last updated: July 3, 2026

These are the terms between you and Sparcademy when you use the product. We’ve written them the way we’d want to read them. By creating an account you’re agreeing to what’s on this page.

Sparcademy is a tool for you — not a school

Sparcademy is homeschool curriculum software. You direct your child’s education; we equip you. We are not a school, we don’t enroll students, and we don’t issue diplomas, transcripts, or course credit. Meeting your state’s homeschool requirements is your responsibility as the parent — our guides, records, and exports exist to make that easier, but they are general information, not legal advice. When in doubt, check with your state.

Lessons on Sparcademy are generated by AI and themed to your child’s interests. We work hard on quality, and every worksheet ships with a parent guide so you can review it — but AI-generated content can contain mistakes, and you remain the teacher of record in your home.

Trial, pricing, and billing

  • 14-day free trial. Every new family gets 14 days free, no card required. If you don’t subscribe, the trial simply ends — no surprise charges, because we never had a card to charge.
  • Founding-family annual plan — $99/yr, locked in. Founding families pay one flat $99 per year covering every child in the family. As long as your subscription stays active, your renewals stay at that founding price — even after we raise prices for new families. If you cancel and come back after the founding offer is retired, the then-current pricing applies.
  • Monthly option. A monthly per-child plan is also available; the current rates are always shown on the upgrade page before you pay.
  • Cancel anytime. Cancel from your billing settings; you keep access through the period you’ve already paid for. If something went wrong with a charge, email us — we’re reasonable people.
  • Payments run through Stripe. Prices are in U.S. dollars, and taxes are added where the law requires.

Acceptable use

Your subscription is for your own family (and, where your plan allows, trusted adults you invite). A few common-sense rules:

  • Keep your account to your family — don’t share logins or resell access.
  • Don’t try to access other families’ data or poke at the security of the service.
  • Don’t scrape the service, bulk-extract generated content for redistribution, or misuse the AI generation features.
  • Use the printed and exported materials freely for your own homeschool — that’s what they’re for.

If an account seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules, we may suspend or close it — we’ll contact you first unless the situation makes that impossible.

The necessary fine print

  • Your data is covered by the privacy policy. How we handle your family’s information — especially your kids’ — lives in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
  • Service “as is.” We work to keep Sparcademy fast, accurate, and available, but like all software it’s provided as-is, without warranties, and our liability to you is limited to what you’ve paid us in the past 12 months, to the extent the law allows.
  • Changes. If we make a meaningful change to these terms, we’ll email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Sparcademy after that means you accept the new terms.
  • Questions or disputes? Email hello@sparcademy.com first — nearly everything is fixable with one honest conversation.

This page is a plain-English summary written by the Sparcademy team; it has not yet been reviewed by counsel. We’ll update it after legal review — and we’ll keep it just as readable.
